Handheld Zebra Reader DS2208

Zebra DS2208 is a scanner that supports both 1D barcodes and popular 2D codes, i.e. QR or DataMatrix. The imager type scanning module allows you to read codes also from screens, smartphones, tablets, etc. Easy to use and reliable reader, it allows quick scanning on a "point and scan" basis. The increased reading speed has been achieved thanks to the technology of omnidirectional code reading.

The ratio of excellent quality to low price makes it one of the most popular wired readers available on the market. It is used in a wide variety of environments: warehouses, retail, logistics, administration, healthcare, etc. The scanner withstands falls on a hard surface from a height of 1.5 meters, also has an IP42 protection standard and works in the temperature range from 0° to 50.0° C. The standard set includes a reader, USB cable and stand (you can optionally choose a configuration with another interface cable, e.g. RS232). The manufacturer's warranty for the DS2208 Zebra is 60 months.

Instant mode change

The DS2208 Zebra can be used as a handheld or stationary scanner using a stand. After placing the reader on the stand, it switches to automatic operation mode – you do not need to re-enter any settings.

Cable with auto-host detection

When you connect the reader to a point of sale (POS), the cable will automatically detect the type of interface connected and connect the device to the host. This will simplify the configuration process and reduce the time needed to set parameters.

• The devices of this series can be charged via a micro USB cable, which is an inexpensive alternative to a docking station.

Unmatched reading range

Barcodes can be scanned from different distances (1.23 cm to 36.8 cm). Thanks to this, we increase the speed of handling queues at the checkout and reduce the amount of time needed to train employees.

Simple aiming and scanning

Omnidirectional scanning eliminates the need to precisely position the imager relative to the barcode (necessary for 1D scanners).
